Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated Imperial Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 5 cups flour
  • 6 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients.
  2. Roll out dough to ¼-inch thickness and cut shapes with cookie cutters.
  3. Sprinkle additional granulated sugar on top of cookie shapes.
  4. Bake at 375°F until desired brownness (10–12 minutes).
