Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon granulated Imperial Sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 egg, separated
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- Waffle iron also needed
Instructions
- Stir dry ingredients together.
- Add buttermilk, egg yolk and melted butter. Beat until smooth.
- Fold in stiffly beaten egg white.
- Bake in waffle iron set to medium-high heat.
Hint: add more melted butter if they stick to the waffle iron or spray iron with non-stick vegetable spray.
